Did you change your spring break plans because of the virus? From what to what?
As a member of the CC Women's Lacrosse team, we had traveled down to Virginia via bus (instead of the original flight plans) and when we returned we were interrupted in the middle of practice to inform us that our season was over and we should pack up everything and go home.
How did you feel when you were informed the remainder of the semester would be held online?
I was devastated that my lacrosse season was cancelled.
Where are you living for the rest of the semester? How did you feel about leaving campus? Or what's it like remaining on campus?
I am living at home with my family. It felt extremely abrupt and open-ended to have everything going as normal one second and have to leave college the next.
What has been your experience with moving classes online? What's good? What's not so good?
Online classes have been fine, teachers are trying their best and students are adjusting as well as they can.
How has the virus (and the precautions taken to prevent it spreading) impacted your daily life?
Like everyone else in the world, my life is restricted to only being at home and visiting the grocery store.
How worried are you about getting the virus?
I'm worried about my parents getting the virus.
Do you know anyone who has gotten COVID-19?

Are you staying in? What are you doing to pass the time?
Yes, my house is next to trails int he woods so I am passing my time running the different trails and studying.
Are you going out? Where do you go and what is it like?
I go grocery shopping for my family and it is eerie how people act in public. The only thing we are advised to do is keep a 6ft distance but people no longer smile, wave or say hello and everyone is rushing around with masks, gloves, and any medical gear they can get their hands on. It is a very serious virus and we should be taking it seriously, but sometimes it feels like people are letting it take over their minds.
What is giving you hope and/or strength right now?
It is a blessing to spend time with my family before I move on to my next step in life. It is also giving me hope that so many people are giving to charities and supporting their neighbors.
Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about what you're feeling or experiencing right now?
I would have to say that regardless of how I felt about having my senior spring interrupted, the world is coming together and doing the right thing and trying to lift each other up in a difficult time. Everyone is going through some kind of hardship at this point in time and we need to remind ourselves of the good that we can do and the positives that we can focus on in a time like this.
