Did you change your spring break plans because of the virus? From what to what?
No
How did you feel when you were informed the remainder of the semester would be held online?
I'm Emeritus so it doesn't apply to me, but I love the idea.
What has been your experience with moving classes online? What's good? What's not so good?
My grandson's day care had some on-line "courses", and he's practicing his alphabet.
How has the virus (and the precautions taken to prevent it spreading) impacted your daily life?
As I am immunosuppressed, I don't leave the house and can't be in contact with my grandkids, which is tough. But we chat online.
How worried are you about getting the virus?
Not too worried.
Do you know anyone who has gotten COVID-19?
Yes
Are you staying in? What are you doing to pass the time?
I pass the time doing crosswords and reading.
Are you going out? Where do you go and what is it like?
No going out for me.
What is giving you hope and/or strength right now?
One daughter (a lawyer)is here in Waconia with 2 kids, and a baby due in a month. She's doing great, and works from home.. One daughter (a scientist) is making a desk from a slab of wood since she can't go to work. The other daughter is working remotely; she writes for TV shows. (Thank God she left NYC.) All three are healthy, by the grace of God, and all are strictly following the guidelines to be safe.
Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about what you're feeling or experiencing right now?
I'm tearful when I see the statics on number of cases and number of deaths.
