How did you feel when you were informed you would be working remotely the remainder of the semester?
I understood the reason behind the decision

What has been your experience working remotely? What's good? What's not so good?
I am busier than ever. I can be more focused at home, but I miss the personal interchange with my co-workers on a day-to-day basis. We do remote "Zoom" meetings everyday so we check in and keep on what we are al doing. We are all very dedicated to maintaining our work for the college.

How has the virus (and the precautions taken to prevent it spreading) impacted your daily life?
We work at home all day from 8-5 pm, and often more. We walk every day at 5:30 pm to get out, appreciate nature, and get exercise. Following a schedule is very helpful. On-line, Zoom meetings help break up the day. The Camel Knitters are now meeting every Friday on line, and we enjoy seeing each other, knitting together, and catching up. One rule- no talking about work!

How worried are you about getting the virus?
Not that worried, because we take extreme cautions. Disinfecting anything that comes into the house - groceries and take out food. Other than that, we see people outside, but never come in close contact with anyone, or go into any houses, or go to any other stores. Keep distance in public at all times.

Do you know anyone who has gotten COVID-19?
no

Are you staying in? What are you doing to pass the time?
Work, cooking, planning meals, gardening, playing games, cleaning...

Are you going out? Where do you go and what is it like?
walks are great. Grocery stores are stressful, as people aren't all following the guidelines. And some of the stores can't figure out the traffic flow. Keeping people 6 ft apart at the registers is fine, but when those people are standing at the end of the grocery aisles so you have to walk close to them to get around them, it makes no sense.

What is giving you hope and/or strength right now?
Appreciating nature and looking back at history - we will get through this. People in WW I and II and through the 1918 Influenza epidemic also thought there was no hope, or life would never be the same - this too shall pass.

Is there anything else you'd like to tell us about what you're feeling or experiencing right now?
Community, families and small towns supporting each other are really what matters. My boyfriend and I had taken spring break early, so we were actually in Europe when this broke out and had to leave very suddenly after the president announced a travel ban. Both of us were told by our employers (the college and the Day) that we needed to self-quarantine as of MARCH 13, for 2 weeks, so we were actually ahead of the college work-from-home order. I am happy to share this story - https://www.theday.com/article/20200317/ENT18/200319488. The attached photo is of us at the Eiffel Tower in Paris just a few days before we had to pack up suddenly and come back to the US
